Schedule All Oral Meds Apart From Potassium Binders

You'll hear about separating oral meds from the potassium binders, sodium polystyrene sulfonate (Kayexalate, etc) and patiromer (Veltassa).

The concern is that these potassium binders could bind to other oral meds...and decrease their absorption.

The latest patiromer labeling advises giving other oral meds at least 3 hours before or 3 hours after patiromer.
