Kids. Codeine and tramadol are now contraindicated in all kids under age 12...and in kids under 18 after tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy.

FDA is also warning not to use codeine or tramadol in kids ages 12 to 18 who are obese or have conditions such as sleep apnea.
