Continuing clozapine (Clozaril, etc) in the hospital will get easier...due to an updated Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS).
Your pharmacy will still need to be certified in the Clozapine REMS Program.
Also continue to check patient enrollment in the program...and verify the absolute neutrophil count (ANC) is in an acceptable range...before dispensing. Be aware that you don't need to draw an ANC...if there's a current one on the REMS program website.
