We're getting questions about proper use of transdermal patches.

Remove patches prior to MRI. We know burns can occur with patches that have metallic backings...such as brand-name clonidine (Catapres-TTS).

But don't rely on labeling to determine if a patch should be removed. Not all metal-containing patches will have an MRI warning.
